WHAT is dirty spirituality?
Dirty Spirituality is a slow rebellion against the cultural trance of disembodiment. An existential uprising against the systems that train us to seek safety in certainty, reward performance over presence, demand we trade authenticity for belonging, and dole out stimulation as a proxy for joy.
Dirty Spirituality is a sacrament to radical authenticity. It's an invitation to liberate yourself from fear-based realities and inherited conditioning—not by rising above your humanity, but by inhabiting it so courageously that the illusory divide between sacred and profane dissolves entirely.
Dirty Spirituality is a love letter to life fully lived, shaped by embodied experience rather than borrowed certainty. A grounded, practical, unpolished devotion to living a Truth that is not fit for Instagram. This is spirituality rooted in the body, in relationship, and in the human nervous system.
I’m interested in the animal reality, not in politics or liturgy, orthodoxies or dogmas. I am skeptical of gurus, allergic to platitudes, and uninterested in performative awakenings. Here, insight doesn’t come from repeating the worn out ideas we’ve been instructed to accept, but from staying present with what’s real, honest and alive…even when it’s inconvenient to our political, cultural or religious ideologies.
I’m interested in the mess of life. The parts we've learned to hide because they're too tender, too strange, too wild for a world obsessed with control. It is this mess that makes us human. It is within these primary impulses, severed from our civilized story of humanity, that we find the divine whisper.
This is spirituality without the spiritual bypass—where shadow integration meets nervous system science, where embodied truth matters more than belief systems, and where being right means being in right relationship not having all the right answers.
This is spirituality for people who are fed up with spirituality. Where the work is not the weaving of new dogmas but the dissolution of institutional doctrines that breed docile conformity. Doctrines that divorce us from ourselves, turn us against each other, and consume us with a fight so exhausting that we forget what it is we’re fighting for...until we’ve recited the warped story of our own sin and separateness so many times that we can no longer imagine a world where we are still good.
HOW vision for a dirty world
This work is rooted in my own wrestling with a history of strained faith, confused sexuality, disorganized attachment, patterns of addiction, a frozen nervous system, and the raw ache of being alive in a time our ancestors never could have imagined. But if there is anything I’ve come to believe in my own body, in the collapsing and rebuilding of a once and still broken human it’s this- that you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.
If you are not free yet, your Truth is not yet complete.
I’m not here to tell you how to become better, I’m here because I don’t think you need to be fixed. I think what we all need is just permission to be fully, dangerously, courageously alive. I’m not speaking of moral relativism— there is a place for virtue and codes of conduct that protect societal coherence. Rather, I’m speaking from the conviction that true, equitable, and self-sustaining coherence is achieved not from the outside-in, but from the insid-out. And it must be achieved together.
To this end I envision a collaborative co-creation of sovereign, empowered and empathic beings reimagining humanity together…in place of the institutionally anesthetized blind faith in a story of division. A story that leaves us believing in our need for those institutions to parent and protect us from the “threat” of our own remembering.
I’m here to explore what happens when we stop trying to transcend the body and start inhabiting it. When we recognize that anger, grief, hunger, and sexual desire aren’t obstacles to awakening, but are the very thresholds to cross towards deeper being.
I believe the path to heaven is not around…it is through. That the way forward is not up and out of life but rather down and deeper in. But this journey— embracing the fulness of our humanity in all it’s force and frailty— is not for the faint of heart. So I’m here to walk along side you…not because I have all the answers, but because I can’t stop asking the questions. And because asking them together is what makes them meaningful.
WHY bridge building & story telling
I write to loosen inherited beliefs, dissolve dogmas, and share the journey of co-creating our ever-evolving human story. In a chaotic world that is moving ever faster from the one known to our mystical forefathers, I endeavor to explore fresh and lived interpretations of ancient ideas while stress testing those tenants we uphold from the time-worn teachings found in a myriad of cultures and wisdom traditions throughout human history.
I write to create space for new stories to emerge—stories of remembering to guide us in the uncharted territory of being human right now, at this crossroads in the evolution of consciousness itself.
I write to build bridges…between science and religion; between left brain and right; between our messy needs, impulses and desires and our polished, often disembodied ideals of virtue and morality. I write to remind us that we are not separate—from ourselves, from each other, from the Earth, or from the Divine thread that weaves us all together.
I write from the collisions — where the alienation of authenticity meets the longing to belong, where faith in what cannot be measured meets reason and the scientific method, where fear meets courage and the sacred bleeds into the profane. I write from inside the mess of life, not above it. This isn’t about being spiritual. It’s about being honest.
WHERE here, now
This is not a spirituality for the mountain top, this is spirituality for life in the trenches of a world spinning sideways. For becoming whole rather than good, wild rather than safe, and present rather than perfect. For claiming freedom over an impotent civility and becoming fully alive as an alternative to the asylum of smallness. Dirty Spirituality is not interested in a sanitized, domesticated, politically correct, gratuitously kind or compliant story of what it means to be human.
This is the path to transcendence that I’m interested in. No certainty. No ceremony. just the mess of life and finding the light that shines through the mud of this Dirty Spirituality.
Thank you for being a part of it. 💚
